From Certified to Active: EMT Sheyla Inofuente Joins the Ranks

EMT Inofuente joined the OWL VFD already holding both Virginia State EMT-Basic and National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) certifications. Driven by a strong passion for emergency healthcare, she chose OWL as the place to put her skills into action and serve her community.

“I wanted to serve my community and gain hands-on experience,” she shared. “OWL gives me the opportunity to learn valuable skills while helping others.”

Looking ahead, EMT Inofuente is eager to continue growing within the department. “I’m interested in working toward becoming an endorsed provider and possibly a driver in the future. Overall, I want to gain as much experience as I can and see how far I can progress.”
