OWL Hosts Successful Blood Drive in Partnership with Prince William County Fire & Rescue System and Inova Blood Donor Services

Woodbridge, VA  — The Occoquan-Woodbridge-Lorton Volunteer Fire Department (OWL VFD) was pleased to host the Prince William County Fire & Rescue System and Inova Blood Donor Services for a community blood drive today at Station 2.

Leadership from across the public safety community turned out early to support the event. Prince William County Police Department Chief Peter Newsham and System Chief Tom LaBelle were among the first to donate, setting a strong example for others.

OWL’s own leaders also participated. Assistant Chief Kurt Bolland and Rescue Chief Sandra Williams joined donors from across the community in contributing to this lifesaving effort.

During the event, OWL President Todd Hewitt presented INOVA’s special gift of holiday socks to Assistant Chief Bolland in recognition of his donation.

OWL thanks all donors, volunteers, and partners who helped make today’s blood drive a success and supports ongoing efforts to ensure a safe and reliable blood supply for the region.
