OWL Cadets Complete Final Burns and Move Closer to Fire Academy Graduation
OWL proudly congratulates Cadets Kody Barbier and John Klapperich for successfully completing their final burns—a major milestone in firefighter training and one of the most demanding components of the Fire Academy experience.
Both cadets have continued to excel throughout their coursework and hands-on training and are on track to graduate from the Prince William County Fire & Rescue System Volunteer Fire Academy on December 15th.
The Volunteer Fire Academy is an intensive six-month program that prepares future firefighters with the skills, knowledge, and confidence required to respond to emergencies. Training includes:
-
Firefighter Levels I & II
-
Hazmat Operations
-
Mayday procedures
-
Rapid Intervention Team Company Operations (RITCO)
Becoming a volunteer firefighter requires significant dedication, discipline, and sacrifice. 👏 OWL is incredibly proud of Cadets Barbier and Klapperich for their hard work and commitment to serving the community.
Stay tuned—we look forward to celebrating their graduation soon!
