Certified & Ready: EMT Jaden Nguyen

Please join us in congratulating OWL Member Jaden Nguyen on earning both his Virginia State EMT-Basic and National Registry of EMTs (NREMT) certifications!

EMT Nguyen joined OWL in March 2025 after being referred by a friend who is a current member. Inspired by the department’s strong culture of training, teamwork, and service, he shared:
“Hearing about the department, the people, and the opportunities to actually make a difference pushed me to take that step.”

Currently attending George Mason University as a nursing student, EMT Nguyen sees EMS as a natural extension of his education.
“EMS allows me to apply what I’m learning in school while developing strong patient care, decision-making, and teamwork skills that will carry into my nursing career.”

Looking ahead, EMT Nguyen is focused on continuing to grow at OWL—working toward becoming an endorsed provider and completing ambulance driver and firefighter training.
