Driving Service Forward: Congratulations to EMT Megan Pickett
OWL Volunteer Fire Department is proud to celebrate the achievement of EMT Megan Pickett, who has successfully completed the requirements to become an Ambulance Driver!
Megan’s journey with OWL began in 2013 when she joined as a Junior Member. She went on to earn her EMT certification before taking a brief break, returning in 2020 as an Administrative Member. This past April, she stepped back into the field as an Operational Member, once again demonstrating her passion and dedication to serving the community.
Becoming an Ambulance Driver is no small task. OWL members must complete:
-
Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT) Certifications I & II
-
Hands-on training alongside experienced driver trainers
-
Written and practical evaluations
Please join us in congratulating EMT Pickett on this milestone accomplishment and thanking her for her continued commitment to OWL and the Prince William County community.
