Extrication training improves situational awareness. Crews practice various scenarios they may encounter at the scene of an auto accident. In this practical training, the location of the driver and passengers in a vehicle and consideration of the vehicle itself, such as its position, can be visualized. Crews can then execute strategies and tactics for quick and safe extrication.
