OWL Supports Town of Occoquan’s RiverFest & Craft Show Event

Every year, the Town of Occoquan and the Occoquan Police Department call on OWL to help coordinate their bi-annual Craft Show event. A few years ago, RiverFest was added to the Summer Craft Show. As a town located on a river, the water activities are a great opportunity to celebrate heritage and history.

For OWL, the event requires several members to volunteer extra hours. The Marine Division is on the water to support the water events, while the Operational Division handles emergency medical services in the town during the event. Administrative support members are also on hand to provide attendees with fire prevention, public education materials, and, of course, child favorites, plastic fire helmets, and goodie bags filled with fun stuff.
